Les Koronin, online gallery in Contemporary Art, France and Switzerland

Continuing our debate on the essential role of the Art Gallery in the exchange and the sensitive sharing between the artist and the gallery.

Would we witness the displacement of the values on which an exchange was based, and again a sharing of sensitive affinities where beauty, spirit, transcendence have their share in artistic creativity?
The classical art gallery, the online art gallery would they be destabilized in their original foundations by the profusion of salons and fairs of Art which are multiplied in villages and villages?

No.
Non and no. Because most of these fairs and exhibitions host among other art galleries, including ephemera.

The strength of a gallery like ours is precisely not to be ephemeral, to be localizable day and night in the Web, to constitute not a fair or a lounge but a showcase constantly lit. It creates a traceability that avoids the artist to “be born and disappear, time of an exhibition” because, unlike many of our “competitors”, the gallery Les Koronin does not erase the pages of the exhibiting artists whose contribution  would not be up to date anymore. Each page is kept preciously, archived, ready to be released, reactivated.

At the Art Gallery Les Koronin, the address does not change according to any need, the urgency to show quickly and often does not exist.  The notion of “self-service” is banned. The online art gallery uses tools of another kind, those of the taste of discovery and the pleasure of the eye, that of contemplation and the pleasure of “sharing”, because the concept of profitability is foreign to it , having regard to the fact that the Art Gallery receives no remuneration on the sale of works of art.

Thus, the online art gallery, free from the constraints of management and therefore the profitability of a local receiving public remains the step always visible and indispensable for the knowledge and dissemination of art and artists. This active link with creation can undergo adaptations attributable to changes in society, it maintains and defends its vocation of “sharing” and “smuggler” with the public, initiated or not.

If the evolution of the art market and societal relays less and less responds to this essential role, many art galleries persist and are authoritative, especially in Switzerland to pursue a collaborative work with the artist, of trust between this one, the gallerist and the art lover. It is up to the gallerist and the salon to do the right thing to arouse good curiosity by confronting the most diverse works, reflections of their time.

To be continued…

Mit freundlichen Grüßen (Bis bald Tschüss….) / Best regards.

Philippe and Konstanz

Les Koronin, online gallery in Contemporary Art, France and Switzerland

From the beginning, your online gallery in Contemporary Art had placed its communication module with you (its email address) under Gmail. At the time, the rules of the protection of your data were still subject to “interpretations” according to the countries in and out of Europe – remember that the Koronin Art Gallery is Franco-Swiss.

If creating email from the Gmail Art Gallery first appeared wise considering the features offered by Gmail, in front of his competitors, quality side of receiving / sending emails, on the protection side of your data, we learned that Google constantly analyzes the content of messages, especially for Gmail.

For a few weeks now, the online art gallery has decided to stop using Google’s messaging to open a communication space, the whole is now based in Switzerland, under the provider Mail.Ch.
Of course, we had to revise all our modules of the five platforms of the site: French, German, English, Russian and Portuguese. Which sometimes took a little time, I agree. But everything is now ready and when you write to us, you receive a reply from the email address “Die Koronen.ch”.

To honor the remarkable work done by Konstanz on WordPress computer programming, a part of the nomenclatures of Email’s bottom has been left in the German language.
In these same nomenclatures, new links to our Facebook pages are also available, so that you can reach us as easily as possible and thus continue with you an advantageous proximity.

From August 10th to 17th, the Swiss team of your online gallery joined the French team for a stay on the Opal Coast, in North West France, on the North Sea.
The stay, of eight days, was supposed  to take them from the small village of Port Le Grand, on the Picardy Canal, to the Baie de Somme, then to the sea cliffs of Ault Onival.

The purpose of this trip to Ault Onival was to collect pieces of cliff chalk.

Indeed, the chalk of cliff, permeable rock, with generally very fine grain, soft, striking, porous consists of calcium carbonates and a little clay. This rock is first of all the result of intense activity of phytoplankton and gives a slow agglomeration of calcium skeletons resulting from moults of marine microorganisms.

The usefulness of this sampling is the propensity of this rock to constitute a “charge” or even a pigment which the painter can use to homogenize his paintings – when he makes them himself based on linseed oil and other pigments -, densify his mixtures and harden his colors  paste.

Added to oil of cooked linen, in controlled quantity, this rock of chalk of cliffs forms a whitish or even beige paste, sufficiently resistant to the rays of light, with the texture sufficiently “elastic” to resist the movements of the canvas properly stretched on a wooden frame. While it does not compete with a white lithopone (whose chemical base is zinc), but its use does not require prior decantation. It can therefore be used immediately, after having turned into fine powder by crushing.
